Disqualifiers

1. Sites with Porn, hate, crime or offensive materials.
2. Site is not child safe. (Source must show rating by ICRA, SafeSurf etc.)
3. Applicant is under 18 years of age.
4. No privacy and/or copyright statement when warranted.
5. Horizontal scrollbar at 1024x768 screen resolution.
6. Broken Internal Links. (Links that lead to error pages)
7. Right click disabled. (I must be able to view your source code)
8. Sites 'Under Construction'.
9. No way to contact the site webmaster/mistress.
10. Site lacks at least 10 pages of original content.
11. Site not viewable in Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape browsers.
12. No visible place for award placement on your site. (A page or location easy to find where awards [such as these] are displayed. (Cannot be displayed on Web site competition pages.)
13. Copyright infringment.
14. Plagiarism.
15. Bandwidth theft of any kind.
16. Claiming validations or ratings that cannot be verified.
17. Site load time exceeds 1 minute at high speed connection or up to 2 1/2 minutes at dial up.
18. Site crashes my browers, takes over my browser or locks up my computer.
19. Sites with more than 1 pop-up window per page.
20. No audio or video shut off.
21. No 'Skip Intro' option for flash intros.
22. Invisible images that do not have "alt" tags, (only red square shows).
23. Not reading the 'criteria' and including the requested phrase.
24. Obvious coding errors that are visible 'on' your pages.
25. Sites that have not been updated within seven days of application for the award.
26. Reapplications and Upgrade applicants not waiting the required 90 days to reapply.
