Klassy Dynamite Klassy Dynamite. Born Dana Russell on December 7, 1971, in Los Angeles, California. He attends Saint Hope Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of O. C. Turner, pastor. Klassy Dynamite started his entertainment career at the early age of twelve, with theater. A drama actor with a play production company called W*L*S*I* Incorporated, from 1983 to 1989. Trained and coached by Stu Gilliem (Director/Actor), and Marvin Wright Bay (Director/Actor) to perform various play productions at the Wilshire EBell Theater. In 1988, under the stage name Mass Confusion, “Klassy” created and formed a dance production team that went by the name of Realism of Blackness. They performed for a small, local, recording label by the name of Smash City Records, in North Hollywood. This dance troop traveled to schools, concert halls, and colleges as background dancers of various styles and routines. This troop continued until 1990. Also during that time, from 1989 to 1990, “Klassy” was a Soul Train dancer. “Klassy” eventually started to focus more on his solo career in 1990, where he was a solo dancer for Pure Joy Percussions. Produced and Directed by Dwight Baldwin A. K. A. the Professor. Here “Klassy” went by yet another name the Dancen Maniack, where he performed for the African Drum Center at U. C.L. A. /Exposition Park, the Guitar Center, on Sunset Blvd., in Hollywood and San Francisco. From 1991 to 1993 Klassy Dynamite was elected as the main character for the cartoon The Drip Dudes. “Klassy” was Frosty Freddy the Hip-Hop Drip Dude. Not only did “Klassy” create his characters voice, he also choreographed dance routines for his and other characters on the show. During this period he also centered himself into Action 4 Kids, directed by Ben Middleton, also the producer of The Drip Dudes. “Klassy” made a connection in 1994 with a Hip-Hop rap group called The Nappy Head Gang under the name Psyco Das. Winning the ASCAP Showcase, the group was signed to a record deal with Virgin Records. In 1995, Klassy Dynamite was called to the Lord to spread the Gospel. Three years later, in 1998, God told “Klassy” to use his gifts to tear Satan’s Kingdom down BY ANY MEANS NECESSSARY!!! And to bring Jesus’ people back to salvation. “Klassy” has also moved into the fashion world with his own clothing line, Klassy Gent Apparels and Klassy Gent Sportswear.
