Award Criteria

Please read this criteria carefully before applying for one of my awards.
  1. Only sites in English please (sorry, but I only read english).
  2. Must be 18 years of age to apply for this award.
  3. Must be the designer/webmaster of the website.
  4. All personal and commercial sites may apply.
  5. Sites must have a minimum of 10 pages of content excluding contact pages, forums, external Guestbooks, personal photo galleries, award pages, and webring/vote pages.
  6. No Porn, hate, crime, discrimination, fear or sites that are offensive in any way will be reviewed.
  7. Site must meet child safe standards with rating by sevices such as ICRA, iWatchdog, Childsafe Sites, etc.
  8. No Copyright infringments. This means if you use 'ANYTHING' that is not yours you must give 'credit' and/or provide 'permission' statment for what is not yours.
  9. No Plagiarism.
  10. No bandwidth theft of any kind.
  11. If you claim W3C, CSS etc. validation, you must pass.
  12. Your right click must not be disabled.
  13. All Links 'MUST' work within your site.(If an Internal link does not work you will be automatically disqualified.) External links should open in a new browser. (Navagational points will be lost if this criteria is not met.)
  14. Images must have "alt" tags.
  15. Flash Intro's must have a 'skip intro' option.
  16. I must be able to turn off your audio and video from your site.
  17. Loading time should be reasonable; no more than 1 minute at high speed connection and up to 2 1/2 minutes with dial up.(Consideration will be given for pages with high graphic concentration and RSS feed downloads).
  18. Sites must have Privacy statements. Sites must comply with "COPPA" regulations if contact is with children.
  19. Site should have copyright statement.
  20. Site must have a way to contact the webmaster.
  21. Site must be viewable in Internet Explorer, Firefox or Netscape browsers.
  22. Your site must not have a scrollbar at 1024x768 screen resolution. (It is preferrable that there be no scrollbar at 800x600 resolution, this will add points to your Layout score.)
  23. You 'MUST' have a place on you site to display the award. It is NOT required, but if you recieve an award please link the graphic to the "Winners Page" at Lil Dymun & Friends. ( Others who view your award will have an opportunity to apply also.) If you do not intend to display the award, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.
  24. For denials or upgrades you must wait 90 days before reapplying.
  25. At the end of your site description please include the phrase "Dymun N' The Rough"; reapplicants phrase "I'm Back".


    26. This concludes the criteria list. Please take the 'SELF TEST' before submitting your application.

Disqualifiers

These items will disqualify for site from our review.
  1. Sites with Porn, hate, crime or offensive materials.
  2. Site is not child safe.
  3. Applicant is under 18 years of age.
  4. No privacy and/or copyright statement when warranted.
  5. Horizontal scrollbar at 1024x768 screen resolution.
  6. Broken Internal Links.
  7. Right click disabled.
  8. Sites 'Under Construction'.
  9. No way to contact the site webmaster/mistress.
  10. Site lacks at least 10 pages of original content.
  11. Site not viewable in Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape browsers.
  12. No place for award placement on your site.
  13. Copyright infringment.
  14. Plagiarism.
  15. Bandwidth theft of any kind.
  16. Claiming validations or ratings that cannot be verified.
  17. Site load time exceeds 1 minute at high speed connection or up to 2 1/2 minutes at dial up.
  18. Site crashes my browers, takes over my browser or locks up my computer.
  19. Sites with more than 1 pop-up window per page.
  20. No audio or video shut off.
  21. No 'Skip Intro' option for flash intros.
  22. Invisible images that do not have "alt" tags, (only red square shows).
  23. Not reading the 'criteria' and including the requested phrase.
  24. Obvious coding errors that are visible 'on' your pages.
  25. Sites that have not been updated within seven days of application for the award.
  26. Reapplications and Upgrade applicants not waiting the required 90 days to reapply.
Please allow up to 4 weeks for the review to
be completed.  All applicants will be
notified when their site is reviewed or
disqualified which ever applies. The
reason(s) for disqualification will be stated in
the email. All applicants may request
feedback on their score. All decisions are
final.

Disqualification Period:
You must wait 90 days before reapplying
after a disqualification.

Upgrades:
Applicants for upgrades must  wait 90 days
before reapplying, and only if you have
made changes to your site.
