A Tag Tutorial

A Faerie Pool Preview
Well folks I made this tag to share in my Tag groups and I loved it so much I decided to write a tutorial to share my technique with all you PSP Lovers out there. I have included evertything you need to recreate this exact tag in the supplies, right down to the gradients.
I would love to see other themes utilized with the mask and imaging technique used here. Please send me your results!!
I have also included the instructions for the animated version below.
What's needed:
An Intermediate knowledge of PSP, I used Corel PSP XI
Corel PSP - Get a Free Trial .:Here:. ;
Alien skin Eye Candy 4000 Plugin - .:Here:. You will need this if you animate the tag.
.:The Supplies:.
All supplies were obtained from group shares, no copyrights are known. Please claim if yours.
Now Let's Get Started!
Click and Drag me You are welcome to take this pointer with you,
You can keep track of where you are
(just click and drag).

Open a 500x500 pixel transparent canvas.
In the Materials palette select your Foreground and Backgroud colors. If you are using the gradients I provided select gradient DejaVu_CC as your foreground and GR42_hult as the background. As the secondary colors choose 'Black' as the foreground and 'White' as the background. (see diagram below)
Diag 1
Flood fill canvas with Background gradient (GR42_hult).

Layers/Load mask from disk, or (if you have the mask image in your work space you may load mask from image). See diagram below for settings.
 Diag 2
Layers/Merge/Merge group
Image/Resize/90%; All layers - unchecked
Get the 'Selections' tool. Using 'point to point' outline the sections of the Mask as shown in the diagram below. There should be seven (7) total.
Diag 3
Open your Background tube (pond scene), Edit/copy
Back to your mask layer, Edit/Paste into selection
Selections/None.
Add your tubes (or the Fae tubes provided). Place as desired; see my tag for an example.
Add text and copyright info. I used Fiddums Family @ 85 pixels.
Layers/Merge/Merge visible
Effects/Drop Shadow: Horizontal 3, Vertical 1, Opacity 70%, Blur 3.00 , color Black.
Now for the finishing touch resize if desired; 'save as' Jpeg.

Animation

To animate this tag I used Eye candy 4000 - Jiggle effect filter in PSP and animation software.
You may use Animation Shop 3 or Easy GIF Animator both work fine. I used Easy GIF Animator. Since most of you use AS I will refer to AS in these instructions.
Get the 'Selections' tool and as before use the 'point to point' feature. Outline the areas of the tag that have water, (there should be four [4]) See my tag for example.
Effects/Plugins/Eye Candy 4000/Jiggle, apply Random Seed 1. (see diagram below for settings)
Diag. 4
Selections/Select None
Edit/Copy
Open Animation Shop, Edit/Paste/As New Animation
Back to PSP, use the back button to back up to before you applied the filter.
Apply the filter again with Random Seed 2.
Selections/Select None
Edit/Copy, back to AS.
Edit/Paste/After current frame.
Repeat this process with random seeds 3, 4, and 5.
Once you have all five frames in AS, click on the Animation tab and then "Frame properties" and adjust the Frame speed to 33. Save as a GIF file.
I hope you enjoy this tag as much as I enjoyed creating it.
